Welcome to the website of the Orthodox Church “St. Athanasius the Great” in Aurora, the newest Romanian Orthodox parish in the western suburbs of Chicago, part of the Romanian Orthodox Episcopate of America and Canada (the Vatra Episcopate).

Our doors are open to everyone - both believers born in America and those who have come here from home, from the left or the right side of the river Prut, to those who wish to serve God while also enjoying our Romanian culture and traditions within this American multicultural mosaic.
